The TPAC/SBC Shakespeare Awards
is a friendly competition to encourage and inspire new and experienced poets who live in Los Angeles County, California.
A national poet and playwright are also annually recognized.

Torrance Turns 100 with the Arts!
As Torrance celebrated its 100th year as a city this year, The Shakespeare Awards created a
special category for poems. The two winning TUSD students, Wasay A. Shahid and Giselle Burton, read their poems at The Celebration of 100 years of the Arts in Torrance on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Torino Plaza.
